On the Saturday of April 13rd, Auckland based artist Frankie Chu completed a conceptual public art installation THREAD OUR FRESH WOUNDS as the part of Auckland Eco festival 2019 in Graigavon Park.

It was an art workshop on site with the idea of ancient knotting cords in a form of performance and interactive game together with fashion designer Lela Jocob, artist Mellissa Liang, architect John O ‘ Sullivan and architect Muse Tongthamchart. And it is an installation after the workshop under an old tree in the middle of park.

Artist Frankie was using the interactive artistic expression to reflect on the modern problems and the pains, and hope that people and the natural environment in the oriental concept of land, water, fire, wind can find a new starting point and a new balance in a future.

Until 24th April, 2019, the installation works will remain at Graigavon Park.
